Fall-Winter Fashion

all in love again with timeless classics updated with a playful edge for 2010. Key fashion trends this year represent wearable styles and luxurious fabrics that are about building a beautiful, functional, long-lasting wardrobe. Animal prints get a style update in a mix of tones and textures. Styles are romantic yet edgy, mixing denim and lace. Military influence continues to be a hot trend this winter.

Outerwear is Calgary's Statement Piece

Grown-up fashion is reflected in finely tailored coats, capes and sweaters with emphasis on minimalist, clean lines from Sao Paulo and Spanner. Fall's neutral colours are spiced up with contrasting fabrics and glamorous accessories from SNO of Sweden jewelry.

Knitwear is a Fall Must Have

Heavy textured knits embody everything that is cozy about colder days and designers like Eric Alexandre, and Sandwich play with proportion in everything from sleeveless vests to draped floor-length cardigans. Mid-length bulky knits from Pure and Co and Neon Buddha come in the guise of loose-knit ponchos and funnel-neck coatigans. Colorful tonal yarns adorn wrap-around cardigans - perfect for layering and pairing with your favorite skinny leg pant and a great pair of boots.

The Skinny on the Skinny Leg Jean

The skinny leg jean remains a strong staple for fall. You can do this look in either a slimmer full-length jean by Jag Jeans or go for the skinny "Twiggy" ankle jean from Not Your Daughter's Jeans. All three are a perfect match to the longer lengths in fall's bulky knits, tunic blouses or long cardigans.

Tis the Season for Looking Fabulous

Joseph Ribkoff presents versatile dresses for all occasions, day or evening. Semi-casual party wear like sequined boleros, vests and ruched tunics are a great way to dress-up your every day skinny jean or legging for the holiday season.

Going to great lengths with THE BOYFRIEND JACKET, TUNIC BLOUSES OR LONG CARDIGANS

You can go for the on-trend Boyfriend jacket by Kathryn Barclay or take the more classic blazer by Louben, roll up the sleeves, pair it with jeans and you are so in style! Tunic length blouses, tops and sweaters are a great way to spice up your basic bottoms. Find these with Jackpot, Sandwich, and Sao Paulo.

Say it with a SCARF

Still the must have accessory this season is in every colour and fabrication imaginable! Not only do they keep the cold out they are long, smooth, crinkled, solid and printed. They are FABULOUS! The infinity scarf is offered in a more refined version by Echo in rayon jersey, crinkle ombres, or animal prints. And don't forget the matching gloves. Echo Touch gloves will keep your hands warm while you keep in touch and still look great! Available in a variety of great colours, the elink fabric interacts with touch screen devices like your iPhone.

ACCESSORIZE!

Necklaces are layered. Metals are mixed, pearls and stones adorn them. Bangles are worn in multiples and eclectically mixed. Some of our favourite pieces this fall are from SNO of Sweden, Karen Chopick of Vancouver, Danon of Israel, Rosie and Lucy the First.

Handbags are colourful and range from oversized totes to the chic clutch. This season we have beautiful leather purses by Leather Works, Big Buddha, Jak's and fun colour from ESPE. And don't forget a great belt to finish off your outfit. La Chik Belts instantly update your look.
